Biography

Duane Wallace Moved to Tahoe in 1974 at the age of 21 to pen a steak house, he opened another in Carson City four years later. He operated the steak houses for 16 years. He currently manages the Dog House restaurant. Prior to that he was the Executive Director of the 4 Boys & Girls Clubs of Eldorado County Western Slope from 2007-2009. He worked for Sierra Recovery Center as a drug & alcohol counselor and prior to that was the CEO of the South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce for 12 years. He is a graduate of CJC and a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management at UCLA. HE is an Accredited Chamber Exec (ACE). He has taught at LTCC as adjunct faculty. He has a BA in Business Administration from Ashford University.

Duane & his wife Tami have 5 children including Riley Wallace their 7 year old addition to the clan. Duane is a founding member and past President of the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation. In February 2009 he was named “Outstanding Community Member” by the El Dorado County School Board Association. His family was named Kiwanis family of the year in 1999. He served on the LTUSD Board of Education and on the Board of Tahoe Youth and Family Services. Wallace was a co-founder of Leadership Lake Tahoe and was appointed by Secretary Glickman to the Federal Advisory Commission (FACA) reporting to the White House on Tahoe issues. In 2000 Duane and his wife traveled to Russia, Moscow, Irkutsk and Lake Baikal Siberia for an international televised conference on building an economy in a sensitive environment.

I was born in Roswell, New Mexico, (Before the Aliens Landed) and was raised all over the place. As an Example: I went to 16 different schools before I started high school. My parents and I moved to Southern California in 1956 and I graduated from West Covina High School.

Dick and I met while working for the same bank and married in 1963. We have three children, two girls and a boy, and four grandchildren, ages 26, 12, 9, and almost 3. That’s three girls and one boy. We moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1977 after purchasing a small business. We “grew” the business until 2013 when Dick decided to retire. I have almost always worked a second job and I have worked for El Dorado County since 1990. Since 1995 I have been in the Recorder Clerk’s Office.

Wanting to be a part of this community, I was a member of the Tahoe Sierra Soroptimist Club for nearly 30 years and then a member of Kiwanis of Lake Tahoe for the last four years. I am currently the secretary.

Working 70 hours a week, 7 days a week leaves not much time for other interests but my hobby is working scale miniatures. My two daughter and my oldest granddaughter join me in teaching a workshop each summer – we call it “Summer at Tahoe”. We are planning right now for the 21st Annual Workshop. It is a Late 19th century Sheriff’s Office.

The 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer runs are through the rolling hills, forests and meadows on single track trails and bike path. Competitors start at Lake Tahoe Community College and finish on the track at the South Tahoe Community Sports Complex (South Tahoe Middle School), former home of the 1968 Olympic Trials Track.

Directions: From Sacramento: Take highway 50 east to South Lake Tahoe, At the junction of 50 and 89, take 50 towards the casinos. Turn right at the light on Al Tahoe Blvd (Denny’s). Turn right into College Way and left at the stop sign. Follow road to parking lot.

1968 USA Olympic Trials Tarton Track (Echo Summit)

This USA Olympic qualifiers team provided the USA’s best team performance at any Olympics to date

One of the most successful examples of the community and government working together for kids in our community. TR4CK raised funds and brought together private donors, the Lake Tahoe Unified School District, the City of South Lake Tahoe and local volunteers to remove the Tarton track and replaced with the modern track. With this effort this facility can host local, middle and high school track meets as well as pre-qualifying meets for the USA Olympic team.

TR4CK is an all volunteer organization and 100% of the net proceeds from the run go to maintaining and obtaining equipment for this track and community.

The 1986 Olympic Trials Tarton Track was moved from Echo Summit to the South Tahoe Middle School

Very Successful for many years, but eventually wore out and became unsafe to run on, no high school meets could be done due to regulation changes of not enough lanes.

Welcome to TahoeFRC.org, the online home of the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center. The mission of the Center is: “To enable individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency and economic stability, to develop resilience in both parents and children, and to allow families to become a contributing part of the community.” We work with the community to support learning, foster parent engagement, and promote wellness for all ethnicities and back grounds. We are a school based, public benefit, not for profit CA corporation, with support from Lake Tahoe Unified School District, Lake Tahoe Community College and El Dorado County Mental Health Dept. We are open every week day of the year from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM except national holidays and the last week in December. Please stop in to check out our programs, talk to staff or pick up a loaf of bread.

Bilingual peer counseling to assist with life’s challenges
Bilingual advocacy, and translations for a variety of issues including mental wellness, educational success, healthy living, navigating the health care system, job searches, and other resilience building activities.
Weekly Latino parent groups at each school called Cafecitos
Daily ESL classes in partnership with the Lake Tahoe Community College
Weekly bread distribution Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00
Monthly emergency food assistance through the State of CA on the second Friday of each month
Free clothing for children and adults in need
Spanish language parent training classes with childcare available through LTCC
Children’s therapy groups called Parabajitos (For the Little Ones), summer learning opportunities
Eight Station Computer Learning Lab open to adults in the morning and children after school
Yearly free legal clinics through One Justice, and support for identification through the Mexican Consulate
We operate the Bookworks, a used book store at Lakeview Plaza, with volunteers and community donations
Seasonal outings for kids and families
In partnership with the schools, we assist in linking scholarships for sports

Lukins Brothers Water Company, Inc. provides domestic water service to over 975 customers in the South Lake Tahoe Area. By written agreement, Lukins also provides fire protection through fire hydrants in its service area. Our service area is totally within the city limits of South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Brothers, Melvin and Glen Lukins built Lukins Brothers Water Company between 1947 and 1967 to serve seasonal and annual residents in Lukins subdivision. Lukins first network of water mains was supplied by various wells. As subdivisions were created by El Dorado County, Lukins expanded within its current district boundaries. In 1953, Lukins was granted a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to serve the system’s 20 customers who were serviced by two-inch and four-inch mains. After the City’s 1965 incorporation, Lukins and the City of South Lake Tahoe executed a Franchise Agreement.

Lukins Brothers Water Company Inc., is now owned and operated by Melvin’s son and grandson, Danny and Grant Lukins. The system includes approximately 58,000 feet if water mains.

You may have heard the saying, “A burden heavy to one is borne lightly by many.” This is at the core of the Moose organization and what makes us unique in our Lodges, local communities and charitable “cities” that we support. Our roots can be traced to 1888 and the founder of the Moose, Dr. Henry Wilson, who successfully established the first Lodge in Louisville, Kentucky. In the early years, the Moose was to serve a modest goal of offering men an opportunity to gather socially, to care for one another’s needs and celebrate life together.

Since those early years, our fraternal organization rapidly expanded to include valuable service to our communities, care for children and teens in need at Mooseheart Child City & School , a 1,000-acre campus, located 40 miles west of Chicago and care for our senior members at Moosehaven, a 70-acre retirement community near Jacksonville, Florida.

With a combined membership of over 1,000,000 members in the Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose, our presence is felt in over 1,500 communities across all 50 states and four Canadian provinces, plus Great Britain and Bermuda. The Moose organization contributes between $75 to $100 million worth of community service (counting monetary donations, volunteer hours worked and miles driven) annually.

In addition to Mooseheart and Moosehaven, the Moose fraternity’s Heart of the Community effort is multifaceted with internally developed programs like Tommy Moose. Tommy Moose aids in helping children overcome fears and anxiety during times of stress. Donated to law enforcement, fire fighters and other emergency workers, Tommy Moose plush dolls are presented to children in various traumatic situations. The external focus of our service is directed towards many worthwhile national charities, a few of which are: Special Olympics North America, Salvation Army, Safe Surfin’USA Foundation, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, and St. Jude.

In our local Lodges, you will find a wide array of activities to participate in both as an individual and as a family. From holiday parties, dances, sports, themed dinners and live entertainment, the Moose has much to offer. Membership can mean different things to different people. It all started with a photo…

In March 1978 issue of Women’s Day magazine, Cheryl Millham saw a photo of a woman holding a baby raccoon. The woman, Jinny Collins, was one of the founders of Wildlife Rescue, a wildlife rehabilitation organization in Los Altos, California. The article reported that Wildlife Rescue was preparing to hold a training seminar to teach local citizens how to care for orhpaned and injured wild birds and animals. So, Cheryl called Jinny and signed up for the class in April 1978.

Cheryl and Tom Millham, their daughter Connie and their friend B.J. headed to the training seminar. When they returned to South Lake Tahoe, they began contacting entities that would come in contact with orphaned and injured wildlife, informed them of their plan to raise and rehabilitate these animals, and asked for their help.

The rest is history. Nearly 40 years later, LTWC is still committed to raising, rehabilitating and releasing orphaned and injured wildlife. We have cared for more than 24,000 critters and have released over 15,000 back to the wild, a 63% release rate — a statistic we are very proud of.

Providing an avenue whereby individuals can call authorities on an anonymous basis to report on current happening crimes or give information on previous crimes that may lead to an arrest or conviction. This includes police and fire activities.

Program History

In 1980 the Secret Witness Program was formed as a result of the death of teenager Richard E. Swanson. Richard was killed during a robbery of a South Lake Tahoe gas station. Businesses and citizens raised nearly $10,000 as reward for information to an arrest of Richard’s killer.

This tragedy created the base for what has become a very successful law enforcement tool in South Lake Tahoe and surrounding communities. Since 1980, the program’s directors, with the support and blessing of Richard’s parents, have solicited the support of the South Lake Tahoe businesses and individuals to make the rewards more appealing to potential anonymous tipsters.

Program Purpose

Because police officers are often unable to know everything that is going on in the community, citizen participation in law enforcement and crime prevention is crucial. The Secret Witness Program is designed to provide incentives to community members for becoming involved in crime prevention and resolution.

Reward Money

Reward money is drawn from a pot that is funded by donations from local businesses and individuals. Secret Witness Program funds are disbursed and monitored by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of Lake Tahoe community members. The funds in the Secret Witness Program are used to pay for information leading to the arrest of suspects or the recovery of property.

Make an Anonymous Tip

When a citizen or visitor to the community becomes aware of a criminal activity, the individual can make an anonymous phone call to a hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provide the information. To become a secret witness, please call the Secret Witness Hotline at (530) 541-6800 .

College History

The alpine town of South Lake Tahoe, located on Lake Tahoe’s southern end, first expressed an interest in hosting a community college back in 1964, a year before the City of South Lake Tahoe was first established.

On March 5, 1974, voters approved the formation of a community college district with 66% of the vote, and the first Board of Trustees was elected. Dr. James Duke was hired by the Board in September 1974 as the college’s first president.

LTCC opened its doors for the first time on Sept. 18, 1975, in a converted motel on Highway 50. In its first year, 119 classes were offered to 1,407 students. The first graduating class of Spring 1976 consisted of 11 students.

New Campus

The acquisition of a site for a permanent campus was pursued vigorously in 1979. The purchase of a parcel on Al Tahoe Blvd. owned by the Shell Oil Company was negotiated and on Dec. 27, 1979, the title to the 164-acre plot in the center of South Lake Tahoe was recorded in the name of Lake Tahoe Community College.

The West Campus was opened in Fall 1982. It provided space for a library and three more classrooms in addition to what the Highway 50 campus provided. Eventually an expanded art lab and an intimate “Collegiate Theatre” were also included at the new site. This allowed for more space at the original converted motel campus.

On July 8, 1986, a groundbreaking ceremony was held on the permanent campus site and construction began on the first phase of the college master plan.

The college moved into its present location in October 1988.

Passing the Baton

On June 30, 1990, Dr. James W. Duke, the founding president, retired after overseeing the construction of the first permanent building for the college on Al Tahoe. Dr. Guy Lease was selected as his successor and leader of the next phase of construction at LTCC. After 17 years of exemplary service and overseeing the construction of several new building phases of the college, Dr. Lease retired in 2007. The college hired Dr. Paul T. Killpatrick in July 2008 as the college’s third president. Dr. Killpatrick served the college for two years before moving on to another presidency in Washington state. The college’s fourth superintendent/president, Dr. Kindred Murillo, was hired in July 2011. Dr. Murillo spearheaded a successful bond campaign called Measure F in November 2014, resulting in $55 million in funding coming to campus over the next 10 years. She also oversaw the acquisition of a $5.8 million donation from South Tahoe local Lisa Maloff, which will result in the Robert and Lisa Maloff University Center coming to LTCC’s campus in 2018. This structure will house LTCC’s expanding bachelor’s degree programs. Dr. Murillo left LTCC to take a presidency position at Southwest College in January 2017. That’s when LTCC hired its fifth superintendent/president, Jeff DeFranco. Jeff had served as Vice President of Administrative Services at LTCC since 2013 before taking on his new position.

The Campus Grows

The Child Development Center opened in September 1993 to provide care for 46 children, and for use as a teaching lab for the Early Childhood Education program.

The new Technology Wing was dedicated on Jan. 2, 1996, and the College Theatre opened in March 1996. In June 2005, the theatre was named after LTCC’s first president, Dr. James Duke.

With everything but Physical Education now located on the main Al Tahoe campus, the Board decided to lease four moveable classrooms. These “Garden Classrooms” were in place for the fall quarter of 1996, bringing the entire college to one location for the first time.

In 2002, the Physical Education building and Student Center opened. The 26,000-square-foot Physical Education building includes a gymnasium, fitness education center, dance studio, and locker rooms. The culinary arts program moved into its own teaching kitchen in the 10,000-square-foot Student Center.

In 2006, the campus opened a new 27,000-square-foot library and the Haldan Art Gallery. The library was renamed the Roberta L. Mason Library in 2014, in honor of LTCC’s first Board of Trustees president, Roberta Mason.

Athletics

In Fall 1994, LTCC’s men’s and women’s cross-country running teams first competed in the Golden Valley Conference. Thanks to LTCC’s Kokanee mascot, cries of “Go Fish!” from fans became common. In the fall of 1995, women’s volleyball was added to the intercollegiate athletic program, and the men’s cross-country team won first place in the Golden Valley Conference. In 1999, the college added an intercollegiate Nordic ski team to its program.

After years without college athletics, formal sports returned to campus with the launch of the men’s and women’s intercollegiate soccer teams in Fall 2014. With the new teams came a new logo and mascot – the LTCC Coyote. Both teams are in the Golden Valley Conference. Lake Full of Pictures consist of a small group of videographers and fashion Photographers that we have a history of working in various productions whom we love and trust . But mostly its two brothers Theodore Kushner and Garrett Kushner. Both have over fifteen years experience in Television, Commercials, Fashion, Music Videos, and Movies. We established Lake Full of Pictures in 2017, but we’ve been shooting Wedding since we were going to film school back in 2005. It was only till now that weddings became our main focus. Before for then we were a full time Production Company called O-BeaR-O Films. We’ve directed everything from a Butterfingers commercial to a Major Lazar video with over 90 million views.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How would you describe your style and approach to a wedding day?

My efforts on the wedding day are spent primarily on a documentary, hands-off approach with a mix of creative scenic couple photos that give you a sense of your surroundings. To sum it up, I want you to be able to feel and re-live the moments of your wedding day for years to come. My team and I take a relaxed approach so that you and your guests feel comfortable and enjoy the moment. We want to feel as though we are guests at your wedding and we want to laugh, cry and get down with you on the dance floor.

Whats your style of shooting video?

Our style is Simple Elegance. We deliver a classic, timeless edit rather than the frenetic, in-your-face, MTV look which appears to be a recent trend. We overshoot everything, which allows us the most creative latitude in the edit bay. I am passionate about getting the best possible angle and composition at your wedding- my girlfriend Brittney sometimes brushes off leaves covering me after the photo session because I’ve been deep in the bushes getting that incredible shot of the bride and groom.

Do you take detail, family and bridal party photos?

Absolutely! I realize that these photos are important as well, so we make sure that every detail of your wedding is photographed. Prior to the wedding, I will gather a list of family formals.

What is your backup plan?

Along with an extensive list of photographers that I can call on, my additional photographer would take over on the wedding day in the unlikely event that something were to happen to me. I put full trust in my second photographers and trust that they would be able to step-in in case of an emergency.

Many professionals have told me ” Thats way more camera than you’ll ever need to shoot a wedding video” and my response is ” I suppose if you don’t have the vision or the passion to make wedding videos into wedding movies”. But I really want to take each wedding movie as far as i can, to bring the most cinematic perspective possible. Welcome to the family Ursa!

We are constantly updating our gear for our wedding couples to be able to offer them the absolute best quality currently available. We film all weddings in High Definition with both Canon DSLR’s and camcorders. Each has it’s advantages: DSLR’s render a beautiful filmlike quality, and camcorders are much better at capturing fast action sequences such as a bouquet toss or a walk down the aisle. My newest piece is a fabulous Canon 5D Mark4 DSLR, which renders fabulous footage, even in low light. No expense is spared in providing the best quality equipment for our wedding couples!

How do we book you for our international destination wedding?

We would love to travel internationally for your wedding. In order to make the process as seamless as possible, we prefer to arrive to your destination location two days prior to your wedding. This allows us to arrive on time in case of flight delays and the ability to scout your location and the surrounding areas. If you plan to have a wedding rehearsal or session before your wedding, we would also love to be a part of this celebration and photograph it for you. I take care of all airfare, hotel and car rental bookings (if needed) and will let you know how much our travel fees are based on your destination of choice at the time of booking.

We went to a wedding recently and the videographers were VERY obtrusive. Are you?

Couples often tell us after the wedding day that they hardly remembered seeing us at their event. To me, that’s a compliment. We dress in black. We dont overwhelm you with multiple videographers or hover around you with a steadicam during your first dance. We prefer to record your day as transparently as possible, and never become the center of attention. Your wedding will be filmed from the perspective of your guests- we are very sensitive to not block their view- they have often traveled hundreds of miles to celebrate your day.

What have you learned in over two decades of professionally filming weddings?

That we can never be satisfied with the work we produced last month or last year. I spend several hours each week researching current trends and products in our industry. I also attend national educational seminars where possible to share ideas and inspiration with the worlds best wedding cinematographers.
I also realize that we produce beautiful wedding films not only for you and your spouse, but for your children, for your children’s children, for your posterity that may view your wedding 100 years from now. One study found that over 500 of your descendants will likely have a direct interest in viewing your wedding film by the 8th generation. That’s a BIG group. Your wedding film will be a treasured family heirloom- passed on from generation to generation. That motivates me to produce outstanding work.

We teach that at the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, God confirmed the deity of His Son and gave proof that God has accepted the atoning work of Christ on the Cross.

Jesus’ bodily resurrection is also the guarantee of a future resurrection life for all believers. We teach that Jesus Christ will return to receive the Church, which is His body, unto Himself at the Rapture and, returning with His Church in glory, will establish His millennial kingdom on earth.

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT We teach that Holy Spirit is a divine person, eternal, un-derived, possessing all the attributes of personality and deity, including intellect, emotions, will, eternality, omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence and truthfulness. In all divine attributes He is co-equal and consubstantial with the Father and the son.

We teach that it is the work of the Holy Spirit to execute the divine will with relation to all mankind. We recognize His sovereign activity in the creation, the incarnation, the written revelation, and the work of salvation.

We teach that a unique work of the Holy Spirit in this age began at Pentecost when He came from the Father as promised by Christ to initiate and complete the building of the body of Christ. His activity includes convicting the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ and transforming believers into the image of Christ.

We teach that the Holy Spirit is the divine teacher who guided the apostles and prophets into all truth as they committed to writing God’s revelation, the Bible. Every believer possesses the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment of salvation, and it is the duty of all those born of the Spirit to be filled with (controlled by) the Spirit.

We teach that the Holy Spirit administers spiritual gifts to the Church. The Holy Spirit glorifies neither Himself nor His gifts by ostentatious displays, but he does glorify Christ by implementing his work of redeeming the lost and building up believers in the most Holy faith.

Who Habitat Serves

Over the past 10 years El Dorado County Habitat for Humanity has served 50 low and very-low income families by providing affordable home ownership opportunities to low-income families who meet three criteria:

Earn an income between 40%-80% of area median income, as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Have a need for housing.
Are willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity and contribute 500 sweat equity hours to the construction of their own home, or their neighbor’s home.

Based on these criteria our volunteer-based Family Selection Committee recommends families that will work to build a community of active homeowners.

How Habitat Works

El Dorado County Habitat for Humanity approaches the challenge of providing affordable home ownership opportunities to low-income families in an innovative way. Affordable homes are built using a large amount of volunteer labor, donated funds and materials. Then the homes are sold at affordable prices to qualifying low-income families.

Qualified families, selected on an equal opportunity basis, buy El Dorado County Habitat for Humanity homes at affordable prices, through 30-year zero-interest mortgages. In addition, each family contributes hundreds of hours of volunteer labor or “sweat equity” to the construction of their home. This “sweat equity” or “self-help” component of the program is a major investment on the part of the homeowner, and increases homeowner pride of ownership. “Sweat equity” can consist of home building as well as community projects and leadership development classes. Once the homes are sold to the partner families, the mortgage payments received by Habitat are then reinvested to help fund the construction of future Habitat homes.

How Do CASA/GAL Volunteers Help Children?

CASA/GAL volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA/GAL volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.

Independent research has demonstrated that children with a CASA/GAL volunteer are substantially less likely to spend time in long-term foster care and less likely to reenter care. Read more evidence of effectiveness.

Who Are CASA/GAL Volunteers?

Last year, more than 76,000 CASA and guardian ad litem (GAL) volunteers helped more than 251,000 abused and neglected children find safe, permanent homes. CASA/GAL volunteers are everyday citizens who have undergone screening and training with their local CASA/GAL program.

Who Are the Children CASA/GAL Volunteers Help?

Judges appoint CASA volunteers to represent the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Each year, more than 600,000 children experience foster care in this country. Because there are not enough CASA/GAL volunteers to represent all of the children in care, judges typically assign CASA /GAL volunteers to their most difficult cases. How Did the CASA Movement Begin?

In 1977, a Seattle juvenile court judge concerned about making drastic decisions with insufficient information conceived the idea of citizen volunteers speaking up for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courtroom. From that first program has grown a network of nearly 1,000 CASA and guardian ad litem programs that are recruiting, training and supporting volunteers in 49 states and the District of Columbia.

The Clean Tahoe Program provides a number of services to keep the communities in South Tahoe clean and litter-free.

Litter Removal & Education

Our primary focus is litter abatement and we have two field crew workers who drive regularly scheduled routes throughout the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County and remove visible litter and illegally dumped items.

Hauling Services

Clean Tahoe offers affordable hauling services to assist those in the community who need to have furniture or appliances transported to the Transfer Station.

Volunteer Programs

We engage the community in volunteer cleanup events and in keeping neighborhoods clean and litter-free.

Community Cleanup Day

Our director, Paul S. Kushner is the founder of the entire choral program. It was Paul’s vision that set things in motion resulting in what you see today. Paul was born and raised in the San Francisco area, one of three brothers. Blessed with a nice tenor singing voice, Paul always enjoyed surrounding himself with music. When he came to Tahoe in 1977, he worked as a Ski Patroller and in other various jobs until he found his niche as a teacher. Paul studied at Cal State University, Sacramento where he met Dr. Donald Kendrick, the masterful and well known vocal professor and conductor. Paul performed in the choral department under the tutelage of Dr. Kendrick and learned a great deal about teaching singing, instructing choirs and the physiology of singing. After receiving his degree in Mathematics and subsequent teaching credential, Paul began teaching in the Tahoe school system. In 1997, Paul received a Masters Degree in Computer Education. Throughout the years, Paul has performed on stage at various venues from the Lake Tahoe Community Choir to “Fiddler on the Roof” playing the part of Laser Wolf. Paul melds his vast teaching experience with his love of music to produce choirs of superior quality and excellence.

Paul’s oldest daughter graduated last year from New York University in Performing Arts and Musical Composition. Paul’s younger daughter is a junior at UCSD studying Bio Chemistry and Cognitive Science. Her twin brother graduated from the Fire Academy (sponsored by the LTCC) and is currently enrolled in NCTI Paramedic School in San Diego. Paul’s wife Debby is a kindergarten teacher at Bijou Community School.
